Well, hello February.
With things returning to "normal" it's easy to let nature connection time slip. As life starts (or continues) to get busy its important for our own health and wellbeing, and for our kids' to stay connected with nature.
Of course, daily is ideal. Even the simple act of taking a hot drink outside or eating lunch under a tree can bring a sense of connection and calm. I have found it's the little things that make the big things with nature connection time.
My goal is to regularly share some simple (and fun) ways you (and the kids) can connect with nature. Each week over on Facebook and Instagram I'll share a Weekend Warrior Nature Mission, as well as lots of other neat nature notions. And, of course, the Monthly Nature Mission will happen every month, I'll share that via the blog and on social media.
So, without further ado here is your Monthly Nature Mission for February:
Take your time, you've got all month for this mission! Is there a place you've been wanting to visit and explore, but just haven't done it yet? The time is now, grab your diary, schedule it in, plan it out and do it!
It could be a local park or reserve you've been wanting to visit, a day walk your dreaming of doing, maybe it's an epic biking or kayaking adventure, or a beach you've been longing to sit on. Whatever it is this month get out and do it!
Share your awesome adventure in the comments the Facebook post each week and you'll go into the draw to WIN our Monthly Mission prize!
These pics were taken in the stunning Waitawheta River in the Karangahake Gorge. A new nature space I explored (and loved) last month, I'll definitely be back!
Oh, and this is me, Kathy!
I've met many of you but just in case we haven't met I am a real person and I'm thrilled you're here. And, that I get to share my love of nature connection and learning with you and your kids! If you'd like to find out more or get in touch click here.
